Bermuda

Popular especially with insurance companies, Bermuda offers a stable yet tax-friendly business environment for foreigners to do business. Company formation is a relatively quick and efficient process and while there is an annual government fee, the benefits from tax exemptions should more than make up for that expense.

While many offshore jurisdictions are fading in popularity, the stable economy and business friendly tax regime ensure that Bermuda will remain a popular destination for doing business. Contact IBCF today and find out how we can help!

IBCF Services inBermuda

Entity Formations and Foreign Registrations

The two main types of Bermuda companies are exempted companies, which are popular with foreigners, and local companies, in which at least 60% of the company must be owned by Bermudians. Local companies are the only companies able to conduct business within Bermuda, while exempted companies allow non-Bermudians to conduct business outside of Bermuda from a Bermuda base. Exempted companies are also exempted from most taxes: they and their shareholders are not subject to income tax, withholding tax, capital gains tax or capital transfer tax.

Bermuda companies must pay an annual government fee, which is generally forwarded to the government by the registered agent after formation—IBCF can act as your registered agent in Bermuda.
