PERU CORPORATE AND INDIVIDUAL SEARCHES

In December 2022 and January 2023, Peru experienced a period of civil and political unrest. While being a disturbing situation, this has not yet affected the main governmental institutions that administer public corporate and individual records.

IBCF, global experts in international document retrievals can assist with Peru company and individual searches. We have included the most commonly requested searches below, but please contact IBCF if you need information not listed here. All results are returned in Spanish.

Good standing equivalents are issued from SUNARP (Superintendencia Nacional de los Registros Publicos), the Peruvian Commercial Registry. The electronic version of a long form good standing is called a “Certificado Literal”. This certificate includes details of the notarial deeds filed. IBCF will indicate if the company’s records evidence merger, liquidation or dissolution.

IBCF can obtain a tax report from Peruvian tax authorities, SUNAT (Superintendencia Nacional de Aduanas y de Administración Tributaria). The report contains the information on the company or individual’s current and historical tax status, as well as the names of the company’s legal representatives.
Lien Searches/UCC equivalent – Real property ownership and mortgages can be determined for a company or individual, in specific cities or in all cities. In addition, liens or pledge agreements granted on movable property (UCC equivalent) registered under the name of a company or individual can be searched.

By providing an individual or company’s name, IBCF can search in Lima Courts to determine if there are civil, criminal or labor procedures. Searches for bankruptcy filings are included in the report.
